Postcard from R.H. McGovern to Mrs. Fred Frederiksen, Lewisville, Idaho

July 30, 1918

Arrived here all O.K. Sunday morning at 4:30.  Sure had some trip.  We are under quarantine for three weeks so won't get to see Freddie for some time.  We haven't been examined yet but had had some drilling. Tell everybody hello for me.

Roy Henry McGovern was the brother of Leah "Virginia" McGovern Frederiksen, wife of Hans Edward Frederiksen.  Since the card is addressed to the mother of his brother-in-law it says a great deal about the family relationships.

 

The Freddie he refers to is Fred Frederiksen.
